Update: Mail Delivery Returned to Normal
Over the past 5 days, the service provider responsible for filtering inbound mail received an enormous volume of SPAM and Virus emails from the Shaw Cable mail system. As a result, some upstream mail servers began rejecting connections from isolated Shaw servers. This resulted in some customers being unable to receive mail from users on the Shaw cable network.
System Adminstration staff have contacted the parties responsible for this high spam volume, and delivery has returned to normal. However, we will continue to monitor the system very carefully to ensure that the problem does not re-appear.
